Johnson Storage & Moving is a fourth-generation family business. The leadership team that runs it today reflects exactly what that means: deep industry experience, genuine accountability to the communities we serve, and a commitment to the standard the Johnson name has carried since 1900.
Six leaders. Hundreds of years of combined industry experience. One family standard.
Chairman of the Board
Mark Johnson is the Chairman of the Board of Johnson Storage and Moving — a multi-location agent for United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit, headquartered in Denver with locations from San Diego to Miami. Mark represents the continuation of a family business his great-grandparents founded in 1900, and his involvement in the company spans his entire professional life.
After earning an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps in 1979, Mark joined the family business full-time, bringing a veteran's discipline and standards to a company already more than 75 years old. Over the following decades, he guided Johnson's geographic expansion beyond Colorado, its entry into the multi-brand portfolio strategy, and its evolution from a regional mover to a national logistics company.
Mark has served as Chairman of the Colorado Transfer and Warehousemen's Association, Director of the Colorado Motor Carriers Association, Director of the American Moving and Storage Association, and for six years as a Director of Unigroup, the parent organization of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit. He is a former Director of both the Denver BBB and the Denver Police Activities League.
President & CEO, Johnson Holdings
Don Hindman joined Johnson Storage & Moving in April 2010, relocating his family from Chicago to Denver to take the helm of the company's day-to-day operations. In the fifteen-plus years since, he has led the most significant expansion in Johnson's 125-year history, growing the portfolio from a Colorado-centric operation to a multi-brand, multi-state company generating over $120M in combined annual revenue.
Before Johnson, Don was CEO of Clark National, Inc., a $200M distributor of foodservice, industrial, and janitorial supplies, where he grew the company's packaging and supply business from $65M to $200M through acquisitions and sustained organic growth before selling the company in February 2010. Prior to Clark, Don practiced commercial litigation and banking law with Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon in Chicago.
Don received his B.A. from Middlebury College and his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, where he graduated with honors. He sits on the Board of Directors of Easter Seals Colorado and is a member of the World Presidents Organization in Colorado. He lives in Littleton, CO, with his wife, Maron, and their four children.
Chief Financial Officer
Chris Kelly joined Johnson in 2026 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing 14 years of financial leadership experience as CFO of Navajo Express, where he built deep expertise in transportation, logistics, and fleet management finance. A CPA by profession, he spent the prior decade at P2 Energy Solutions as VP of Finance and Acting CFO, guiding the company through a dozen acquisitions, two divestitures, and an IPO filing, with earlier finance roles at Colorado Gaming & Entertainment and Arthur Andersen & Co.
At Johnson, Chris leads the company's overall financial strategy and operations, helping ensure the long-term stability and growth of everything the Johnson family has built since 1900. A Colorado native and Colorado State University Rams alum, Chris lives in the Denver area and is always cheering on Colorado sports with the whole family close by.
President, Johnson Cherry Creek
Billy Jeffries joined Johnson in the spring of 2019 to lead the household goods division as VP of Sales, and has since taken on the role of President of Johnson Cherry Creek LLC, the Denver metro-focused brand serving the company's most discerning local residential market. He brings nearly 20 years of sales and marketing experience with a focus in home services.
Prior to Johnson, Billy served as National Sales Manager and General Manager at Service Experts, where he won a top national award for performance in sales, profitability, and growth. He began his career at Enterprise Holdings after graduating from High Point University in 2000, advancing from management training through Area Sales Manager, where he led sales relationships with Fortune 1000 clients. Billy lives in Parker, Colorado with his wife and two daughters.
Director of Fleet and Safety
Paul Osborne brings over 30 years of experience in safety, fleet, and logistics management across the oil and gas, national food service, cash-in-transit, and transportation industries. At Johnson, he oversees fleet operations, safety compliance, and facilities, and manages the infrastructure that keeps every truck on the road and every move running on time and within regulatory standards.
Paul's regulatory expertise has helped lead multiple $100M+ companies toward captive insurance structures by building exceptional safety performance records. He holds ASE certification, OSHA 30 certification, a Colorado UST A&B Operator License, and multiple certifications in auto and truck repair. He serves as Colorado Co-Chair of KAIROS, a prison mentorship program, and lives in Aurora, Colorado.
Vice President, Client Relations
Josh Humphreys has spent his entire career in the moving and storage industry, beginning as a crew member in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a high school student and working his way through customer service, operations management, General Manager, and VP of Van Line Operations before joining Johnson. That ground-level foundation gives Josh a perspective on customer experience that's impossible to acquire any other way.
At Johnson, Josh oversees Customer Experience and Quality, as well as the Customer Service and Long Distance Operations teams, the functions most directly responsible for how clients feel about their move before, during, and after it happens. He brings both a passion for the customer and a genuine respect for the crews and drivers who execute every move.
Vice President of Johnson Warehousing
Shane joined Johnson in the summer of 2021 following Johnson's acquisition of Nomad Logistics, a company he founded in 2016. He currently serves as Vice President of Johnson Warehousing, where he focuses on growing the company's warehousing and logistics capabilities and developing solutions for customers with complex supply chain needs. He brings an entrepreneurial background and extensive experience in logistics, warehousing, and business development.
Before joining Johnson, Shane founded Nomad Logistics in 2016 and grew the business over the next five years before selling the company to Johnson in 2021. His experience building and operating Nomad provides him with a unique perspective on both the operational and commercial sides of the logistics industry. Shane graduated from Colorado State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in business finance.
Vice President of Commercial Services
Kevin joined Johnson in May 2025 as Vice President of Commercial Services, where he oversees the commercial sales team nationwide. Kevin's role focuses on increasing Johnson's commercial sales growth through new business development, expanding commercial service offerings, and strengthening existing client and partner relationships. He brings a strong background in commercial moving and storage sales, having begun his sales career in the industry in 2015.
Before joining Johnson, Kevin was a top sales rep for First Class Commercial Services, which led to his role as Vice President. He began his career at Suddath after graduating from the University of West Florida in 2015 and advanced from inside sales to Regional Sales Director. Kevin currently resides in the Miami, FL area.
