Centennial, CO, March 21, 2024. Johnson Storage & Moving (“JSM”), headquartered here, announced today its new full-service logistics/moving & storage business located in the Doral neighborhood of Miami, FL. This will be JSM’s 13th full-service location serving as an agent for United Van Lines and the Office Moving Alliance (“OMA”).
Johnson’s received approval from United Van Lines earlier this month and signed a lease in Miami last week. Johnson’s new location is located at 6451 NW 102nd Avenue in a 100,000 square foot building with dock-high docks, a drive-in dock, and 33’ clear ceiling height. Johnson’s new business will focus on domestic and international household goods relocations, office & industrial moves, commercial warehousing, and last mile logistics.
“We’re super excited to enter the fast-growing Miami market to service its vibrant logistics market along with in-bound (and out-bound) household goods moves” said Johnson’s CEO, Don Hindman. “We have 40 over-the-road operators that occasionally get stuck in FL due to the in-bound nature of the market. Controlling our outbound tonnage will enable us to re-position those operators and get them out of Florida” said Hindman.
Prior to opening the new location, Johnson’s operated 1Relo.com, an international freight forwarding business headed up by industry veteran Manny Rojas. Johnson’s will merge 1Relo’s operations into the new location to expand in Miami.
Johnson’s is actively recruiting and hiring personnel to ramp-up operations including sales, operations, drivers, and crew members. “With the merger of 1Relo and Johnson’s we will quickly have a $10M branch with the ability to handle all types of moving & storage business” said Manny Rojas. “It’s an exciting time and we look forward to taking share in the fast-growing south Florida marketplace.”
